Lovely and Lacy

I love these new dies.  There's so much
you can do with them since you can
place them anywhere on the paper. They
only cut the design, not all the way through
the paper, so you can place them in the middle
if you wanted to!  Very cool.

You will definitely be seeing more cards
like this.  I also ordered some Tim Holtz
mini crazy birds with all kinds of
accessories, like glasses, hats, etc.  I can't
wait to get them!  I always put my walmart
reciepts in at the site to see if someone else
has better prices and I had more than 50.
saved up so I treated myself to them.  I
think I'm going to be getting an HDMI hub,
too.  They have a nice one with a remote
for only 15. but I have to check with Cody
first to make sure it's the right one for me.
Electronics are not exactly in my realm.  I
am getting better, though!
It's been cold and rainy the past few days, but
I hear it is supposed to be really warm next week.
Just a teaser and then comes the bitter weather.
I hate winter.  Have I ever said that before?
Happy birthday to my friend Karen.  I think
you're 25 again this year, right?
Thought so!!  :)

A word of thanks

First I would like to thank Hobby Lobby
for moving in practically next door to
me so I have no money left at the end of
the month.  It's all their fault.  Secondly, I
would like to thank my new friend, Kat,
who is the ultimate enabler.    She posted
a few cards she made recently and used
Tim Holtz's mixed media dies.  I've seen
them in Hobby Lobby but wasn't sure
how it would look on a card.  Well....
thanks to them moving here, I ran up
and got a set.  There's another set I
would like, of course, but won't get them
right now because I'm so broke I can't
pay attention.  Anyway, here is the card
I made with one of the dies.  It's a set of 4.

I really like how it turned out, but I wish
I'd used a little darker portion of the
hombre cardstock to make the hello.
Another use of this same die for the inside
of the journal I showed yesterday:

I'm absolutely thrilled with how this turned out!
Now, before I go further, I must clean my desk
because I can't find the bottom of it to work
on.  I have so many projects going on at a
time because I am always wanting to try something
I've seen and haven't finished the project before.
I do finish them eventually, though.

I need to work on my assignment for next
Monday's class, too.  it has some words
I'm not familiar with and can't seem to keep
the sign in my head for some reason.

One more picture in closing:

You can't see her face super well,
but this is Bri dressed up as Hermoine
for Harry Potter day.  Isn't she just
the cutest?  Oh, to be that young again.
At 16 I had already royally screwed up
my life and haven't figured out how to fix
it yet, unfortunately.  At this point I
think it's just a little late.

Praying hands

Another journal.  Are you sick of these
yet?  I'm making three, possibly four
of these for Christmas presents.

At first I didn't have the fibre on it and
it looked so perfectly lined up that it
was just wrong.....So I thought adding the
fibre to the spine would break things
up a bit and I like how it turned out.
I'm not finished with it yet.  On the inside
I'm going to put a pocket on and include
a bookmark, probably with the Lord's
prayer on it.  I just love journals.  They're
a gift that will last rather than get used up
quickly.  That's always the best gift, I think.

I made the trip to Ft. Wayne yesterday to get
the birds groomed.  While there I met a
man who has two amazon parrots and when
he saw Luna he really loved her.  The problem
is that one of his birds had to have surgery
recently for a benign tumor.  He's kind of
strapped.  I told him I would come down on
the price and gave him my phone number.
I'm really  hoping he can come up with
the money because he is the kind of person
I'm looking for-someone who knows birds,
knows they need a special vet and will give
her a loving home.  A prayer about this
would be greatly appreciated.

Yesterday evening my shoulder suddenly
felt like something was stabbing in it.  This
is not good.  I just had the cortisone shot
a month ago.  I really, really don't want to
have surgery.  It wouldn't help with my signing,
for sure.  I'd still go to classes and just
work on receptive skills, I guess.  But I'm
hoping it will stop hurting.    It's not even in
the same place as before.  This is right at
the top of my shoulder.  Not good.  Sigh.

Playing with elephants

I ordered this pattern last week because it
was just so darned cute.  I made the
journal in regular size and then scaled
it down to make an atc size to fit on
the post it note cover.

I love how the journal turned out.  I wasn't sure
if it would look good with the paper but it
kind of looks like the elephant is standing
under the tree.  I wish I'd thought ahead and
made it on some darker paper.  I inked the
entire image but it's not the same.

Class went pretty well yesterday.  I totally
spaced out on the word commit until ( naturally)
I sat down.  Then I remembered.  But overall
it went pretty well!  On the way  home I saw
a shooting star streak down from the sky.
I don't know where it landed-it probably broke
up in the atmosphere-but it was so cool!  You
couldn't miss it if you tried.  I've seen shooting
stars before but they were really high up and
very dim.  This one was bright and coming
straight toward Earth.

I got my medicare all set and I'd say all in
all yesterday was a pretty good day!

Faith, trust and strength

It's interesting that Philippians 4:13

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

was presented to me twice yesterday.  Once
through a text from a friend and the verse
popped into my head as I was reading it.
The second time during the movie "God's
not dead" which was shown for the first
time last night on the UP (Uplifting) channel.
I really believe that God brings things to
us in all sorts of ways just to remind us
that He's there guiding us and giving us
strength to do what He has called us to
do.  Yesterday in church I signed the
songs the best I could, some OK, some
not so well.  They didn't even do "We
believe",  the only one I thought I could
do halfway decently!  But He gave me
the strength to try and encouragement
from friends and I can't ask for more.

This card is for a friend who encourages me
 every chance she gets and
I just want her to know how much
that means to me.

On to other things, I wish I had taken a
picture of my neighbor's trees the other
day.  They were so pretty, all dressed in
white-toilet paper, that is!!  They don't have
any kids that I know of and that's usually
why someone gets tp'd, but you know,
it really is kind of pretty in a weird way
to have all these white streamers hanging
from trees!

Tonight is class and I'm going to  need
an extra prayer or two.  I will probably
practice once or twice more, but
I think there is such a thing as over
practicing, too, so I'm just going to
be prepared but not stress myself out.
Or at least try not to!  Believe it
or not, I'm actually looking forward
to it.  Kind of.  I can't seem to make
up my mind which way it goes.
It depends on the time of day, I guess!

Let's hear it for friendship

I consider myself fortunate to have
many friends that I know I can count
on in any situation.  I hope they know
they can count on me as well.  To have
a friend you have to be a friend, right?
I try to be the best friend I can be.

This card came out pretty well.  The first
time I made it I made the music background
waaaay too dark.  So I redid it and stamped
off once before I stamped it on the card.
Now it's just visible without being obnoxious.

I'm looking forward to church today as always.
If I can stay awake that is.  I had trouble sleeping
last night and as is always the way, I started to
sleep well very early in the morning.  Promptly
at 450 am my carbon monoxide alarm started
chirping.  Chirp................Chirp..............Chirp.
Well, I knew what the problem was, it wanted
new batteries.  As soon as I replaced them
it shut up.  Meanwhile, I was wide awake.  Sigh.

I've been working on my assignment for
tomorrow's class.  This is what I have to
interpret:

Fortunately they will be reading it
sentence by sentence so you can interpret
it after they read the sentence.  I think
I will do OK.  In "real" interpreting, you are,
of course, not afforded the chance to read
and learn what the person is going to say
ahead of time.  I recorded myself saying it
(my voice sounds terrible on a recording!)
and pause it after each sentence. I still
falter on a couple of words that I know
but for some reason have trouble recalling
quickly, but other than that, I think I'll
get through it.  The interpreting isn't even
the biggest hurdle, I don't think.  It's probably
going to be nerves getting up in front of everyone.
I've survived so far, lol, so I guess I'll get
through this too.   I guarantee you one thing:
Nehemiah is getting a sign name!  Finger spelling
that name every time will take me hours
and the class is only two hours long!

Another bridge arrival

Sadly, my friend, Dianne, had to send
her sweet kitty Lillie to the rainbow
bridge.  She's no longer in pain.
We hurt forever, I think.  God gives
us these precious animals, which I
truly believe have a little of God in
each one of them, (how else can they
love us unconditionally?) and then we
lose them in such a short time.  They bring
so much into our lives.  I know having
B'Elanna and Neelix when John died
made the loss a little easier. Sure,
I had the birds too, but lets face it,
with the exception of a cockatoo, birds
aren't extremely cuddly creatures!  So if
you could say a quick prayer for Dianne
and her family I'm sure they will
appreciate it.

Now for something interesting and strange...
I got a friendship request on FB from
Mandisa.  Seriously, I think it really is
from her camp!  I think maybe they went
through her instagram and possibly twitter
and sent requests to everyone on it.  It could be
someone just posing as her, I suppose,
but I got a nice message this morning,
"Let your requests be made known to God;
and the peace of God will guard your hearts
and minds".  You are blessed today."
So even if it isn't from her camp, it is nice
to receive an uplifting message like that!

I have class today, of course, and as always,
looking forward to it.  I'm hoping a few more
people turn out.  The Monday classes are
much larger than last semester so that's
really  nice.  I think it's wonderful that people
want to learn to communicate with the Deaf.
And on that note, I probably should go get ready!

Limitations

No, not limitations like most people
think.  Just listen to this bird!

I know a couple people in my life that at
times I could have said this to. John
would be on that list...lol.  This is the first
time I've tried using a die and having part
of the image outside of it.  I'm not sure I
actually did it right, but it worked, so that's
what counts, I guess.  I had to cut up the tail
and then put that on the outside of the die when
I cut the oval.  I had to cut up much farther
than I expected but when I adhered it
you can't tell anyway.

I need to go get some gas for my lawnmower
and mow the back 40.  Both of my neighbors
have mowed their lawns so I don't even have
to think about the property line (sidewalk
to sidewalk) because I just follow where they
have been.  Easy peasy.  Years ago we had
a commissioner or whatever the heck he was
who decided to enforce the law that if you
did improvements on your house you had to
put in sidewalks.  Quite an expense because we
have a corner lot.  Consequently Fremont has
many, many sidewalks to nowhere, ours being
among them.  John was just beside himself and
even called our lawyer to see if it was legal.
Unfortunately it was one of those laws that
nobody pays any attention to but is still on the
books.  Around the corner some folks had
their fence blown down in a high wind and
had to put in sidewalks when they fixed it!  It
was a tall fence so I imagine they had to pull
a permit to do it.  Obey the law and get
penalized.  That's how it works in Fremont
anyway.  How did I get on that?  The
guy didn't last long around here.  We sent
him packing to Clear Lake!!  That's the
next town over.

So, with that I will get myself around and
go do my chores.  I hope everyone has
an awesome Friday!

Supervision, please

These crazy birds are, well, crazy!  I
found some stamps with sayings on them
just for the birds and just typed them out
rather than get the stamps.  I know exactly
who I'm going to send this to and she will
appreciate this.  She's nuts just like me.
Must be why we get along so well!

Yesterday I went to the cardiologist
with my dad.  While we were there they
did an echocardiogram.  It was absolutely
fascinating.  When Nathan was young and
had them they didn't let parents in to watch.
While she was doing dad's, she showed me
what would have shown up on Nathan's;
where the blood would have gone, between
the chambers of the heart, (ventricular septal defect)
the aortic flap that was opening but not closing
and where the coarctation (narrowing) of
the aorta would have been located.  They
drew me pictures in the hospital, but it
was really interesting seeing it on an
actual echo. Dad has A-fib but beyond that
his heart seems to be strong, so that was
good to hear.  I just marveled at the intricacies
of God's masterpiece.  We don't even think
about our hearts unless something goes
wrong.  It's astounding to see an actual heart
and understand that this could not have come
about by chance.  Nothing this intricate could
have just "happened".  I don't know how
people who see things like this can't see
that this is something only God Almighty
could have created!

Umbrella man two

Or is it umbrella man too?  Either way
works!  I debated which one to put on
the title because I thought they were both
cute.  I saw this saying on pinterest not
long ago on a card with umbrella man and
knew I had to use it as well.  It lends itself
perfectly to the image.

My dad has an appointment with a new cardiologist
later today so I am going to tag along and see
what she has to say.  Besides, it's always
a good idea to have a second person as sometimes
you don't hear everything that is said.  He has
A-fib and that is nothing to fool around with.
Afterward we are going to have lunch together
so I'm looking forward to that.  I don't think
he's been in Dairy Queen since they remodeled.
We used to go there and get their $5.00 lunch.
The chili dogs are so good.  It will be past
lunch time, but the chili dogs will still be good,
lol.  Just not as cheap.
Sunday one of the songs is "We Believe".  The
Newsboys sing it.    I have signed it before, but
the "we" and "believe" get me mixed up big
time.  So, Judy, don't look at me or I'll probably
get you mixed up too!!  But I will give it my best.
I feel like I am really in God's will signing and
I'm not sure why or where He is sending me
with this, but I'm going to trust that He has a
reason for sending me this way and bringing
to my life things that I have both liked and
been not so happy about.  But it all makes us
who we are and what we are is a work in
progress.  If we've "arrived" then what's the
point of being here?  I don't want to stop
learning or seeing what He has coming in my life.

Blessings

I can't tell you how grateful I am that I didn't
chicken out and not take the interpreter
prep class. I have left both weeks feeling
encouraged and blessed.  Pam  even said I
was impressing her!  I am really timid and
shy about signing especially in front of
people I don't know well and there
are several there.  But I just feel very
surrounded by love and acceptance. I
expect the rest of the classes to be
the same way.  Maybe God is trying
to tell me something??  I still don't feel
particularly led to interpret at this time
but perhaps that's why He had Pam offer
the class.  We had to get up in front of
everyone to do our verse.  I was sure I
would be able to hear my heart pounding
but surprisingly I was fairly comfortable.
I am surprising myself so much.  I was
also encouraged by several people saying
that they had difficulty with receptive skills
also.  I don't feel so inadequate when I hear
that I'm not the only one.  I expect too much
from myself sometimes.  It's a flaw.  Consequently,
I didn't understand much of the others' signing.
But.  We have a deaf boy in the class.   He
is 18 so I guess he's not a boy, but he is to
me.  I will call him a young man.
Anyway, I understood everything he
signed!  Go figure!

Yes, I have a card to show.  :)

This card came out exactly as I imagined
it.  That's so rare.  The only thing is that
I was planning to put the flower rhinestone
on the right side down just a little but somehow
it ended up almost even with the one on the left.
I tried moving it  but you could see
the glue when I did that.  They aren't self
adhesive.  So I guess I have to leave it as
is.  Maybe I'll scatter one or two along the
lattice.  Now that I look at it on the computer
it might  look pretty good that way.

Monday again?

Where does the weekend go?
Well, I spent some of it finishing
up the last of my new stitching
patterns!  I love how they turned out!

What I didn't write about yesterday was
that when we were out to lunch on Saturday,
Pam told me I need to be copying the interpreter
when they are signing the songs.  Even if I don't
remember what a sign is, even if I can't keep
up, just copy.  4 out of the 5 songs we sang
yesterday I didn't even know.  So I am
on my way to church yesterday and telling
God, "I can't do it and I'm not going to try."
When the music came on I found myself signing
anyway.  Note to self:  Don't tell God what
you are NOT going to do!  And I actually did
pretty well.  I surprised myself.  The one song
I did know I still messed up a little on.
But I've been told by many people that no
one can see me from behind, first of all, and
secondly no one knows when you mess up
because they don't know sign.  I would add
a third thing to that:  You aren't signing for
them, you are signing for the deaf person
(although we don't have any deaf people
at this time) and you are signing for God.
He doesn't care if you mess up.  All He
cares about is that you do your best!

I have an appointment today with a medicare
specialist who works with the council
on aging here in Angola.  Hopefully I will
leave knowing exactly what I need to do
as far as supplemental insurance, etc.  I hope
I don't need to get that as I really cannot
afford it.  But I guess I just leave that
in God's hands like anything else.

I'm looking forward to tonight's class.
There is a deaf boy in this class so that
is interesting and gives us a little practice.
He's 18, I think.  His mother and brother
are both coming as well.  They all seem very nice.

More early Halloween

This is it for the Halloween
cards.  Then it's back to
Christmas again because I
have three new patterns for
that.   I know you're going to
love this first one, Karen!!

The only thing I think could have been
better is if the pattern had had legs
in the witch's shoes.  I probably could
have winged something (maybe not)
but I never thought of it until I looked at
it completed.  It's cute nontheless.

Yesterday only 4 people were at the
class including Pam, who teaches the
class I was taking and Coleen who was
going to teach the beginners.  So we
talked for a while and then an hour
later someone else came in.  We ended
up going over vocabulary for the first
couple of chapters.  Even though this
person has taken the class several
times she's not retaining the information.
But it was good for us to have
a refresher course.  There were a
few words I couldn't remember!   After
class Pam, Coleen and I went to
lunch and I enjoyed that very much.  Judy
is camping so couldn't join us.  They
are all great ladies and so
encouraging to me.

I think I'm going to be going over to
my mom's and vacuum and start going
through her closets.  She says it's in
my best interest to do it now....lol.
I always call first, though, because she
might not feel up to having company.
Any way you look at it I'll be doing
some kind of work because the lawn
needs to be mowed.  It rained pretty
good yesterday and the grass is
a very pretty green.  I am enjoying it
while it lasts.  I keep asking God to
make it warm all year long.  I've probably
said this before, but I'm pretty sure
I can hear Him laughing.  I know the
cycle of life, blah, blah, blah.  Florida
seems to do just fine without the freezing
cold weather every year.  I did hear the
other day though, that the reason we
have winter is because of the tilt of
the Earth.  I always thought it was
because our part of the country was
closest to the sun but that's not the
case.  It's the way the Earth tilts
away from the sun that causes winter.
  Science lesson for the day.

Happy early Halloween

I can't help myself!  I ordered more
patterns yesterday. 4 are  Halloween and
3 are Christmas.  I get in moods and
right now it's stitching I guess.  I
admit it.  My name is Marianne and
I am addicted to stitching.

The witch hat has glitter glue on the
hat band.  I think that shows up.  I know
most people don't like spiders, but I think
these are cuties.  As long as they are
not crawling around my house.  I don't
want to share my house with any
creepy crawlies.  Tomorrow I'll
post the other two patterns.  I'm making
a Halloween treat for the grandkids
so I thought it would be nice to
include a card with the treats.  Not that
they will care about a card I'm
sure.  Bring on the candy!  I don't
give them a lot because I like their
moms and don't want to leave them
with children bouncing off the walls.
Although I will admit when they were
little, one year for Christmas John and
I got every one of them toys that made
lots of noise.  Sometimes you just
have to get a little payback, lol.

I'm planning on spending the day (after
class) watching some movies on Pureflix.
After all the pain of getting the subscription,
I may as well enjoy the channel.  I watched
one last weekend that pretty much insulted
my intelligence. I thought about turning
it off, but I actually did finish watching it.
It was  about this guy who had an angel
crash into his swimming pool.  It was a lot
like the movie "Splash".  I don't know
 why I kept watching it!

More stitching

I think I'm pretty much out of Christmas
patterns at this point, but here are
two more.  I love the way the metallic
thread looks but it's a real pain to work
with.  The candle card is my favourite.

The deer looks a little goofy to me.
The red is supposed to be his nose, but
he must have his head tipped way down
or something.  I am in love with the
antlers, though!!  They are just so pretty.

I went with my friend to pizza hut last night
and tried their chicken ceasar salad.  I wasn't
super enthralled with it.  The chicken was good.
The dressing was tart, but it was mostly
big spinach leaves and I'm not crazy about
those.  They could have had a bigger
mixture of greens.  I guess when you go to
pizza hut you should just have pizza!

B'Elanna was a pretty good therapy dog
yesterday, surprisingly.  She's getting more
used to my mother so she actually sat on her
lap for a while without much coercing.   Maybe
she was hoping there would be a few more
treats involved.  I gave them these treats that are
really soft and tiny so that she could have
a few  rather than just one or two.  She's
very food oriented like most dogs.

Tomorrow is the next class "and beyond"
which is anything past first level.  So it
will be interesting to see what it entails,
but nothing as scary as the interpreter prep,
I'm sure.  We are supposed to choose a
Bible verse for the next interpreter class
and be able to interpret it.  I think I'm
going to do John 3:17.

17 For God did not send his Son into the world to
condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Simply put (the way I would interpret it anyway)
is "God not send son to world to judge but
to save."  Others might interpret it differently
but that's how I plan to do it.     I think that
pretty much covers the meaning of the verse.

Ho Ho Ho

Now all Santa has to do is plump up
and put on his suit!  I think maybe if I make
it again I will use a lighter colour of blue.
It just seems to stand out too much and
draw attention away from the entire
suit.  But it's still cute.

Another double z card:

I can't tell you how long I've had these
stamps but I love them.  They aren't a set
but they definitely go together.

B'Elanna and I are going to visit grandma
today.  My dad called last night and said
my mom wanted to know if she could have
a play date with B'Elanna today, lol.  A
small dog might be perfect for her, but she
wouldn't be able to get out and walk it or
even take it out to go to the bathroom without
much difficulty.  My dad wants another cat
but she doesn't even want that because she
says he doesn't keep the cat box clean enough
and it's hard for her to do.  No one keeps
anything clean enough for my mother, sadly.
So B'Elanna is her therapy dog, I guess.
She's not very good at it.  She just wants
to run around and bark at my dad.  She
wants him to play with her, chase her around,
that sort of thing.  My mom wants her to sit
sweetly and quietly on her lap.  That doesn't
usually happen after the treats are gone....

Umbrella man

This $20.00 die was half off!  I've looked
at it before but wasn't going to pay
that  kind of money for a die that I didn't
think I'd use all that often.  But I can't
pass up 50% off!!

Isn't it cool?  I love the saying, too.  Obviously.

Yesterday my friend, LuAnn and I went to
Ft. Wayne to get some bird food, shop at
JoAnn's where I got the die and then out
to lunch at Olive Garden.  Next month will
be two very hard days for her.  The first
will be when her husband, Dennis, had a
catastrophic injury, the second two weeks
later when he died.  Grief is such hard
work.  I'd heard that before, but you don't
know until you experience it.  Everyone's
journey is different.  So while I understand
losing a spouse, I don't understand what
SHE is going through because it's so
personal to each person.  But she is doing
the hard work and more importantly,
leaning on God to get her through.  As
hard as it is to lose someone to death,
it's comforting to know that they are with
their Savior.  I imagine John and Dennis
along with my cousin Ronnie, having a great
time together and probably wreaking havoc
in Heaven!  Guaranteed John is trying to
run the place!  Of course, I know that's
not true, but it's fun to think of him
the way he was here on Earth. He was
always right.  Or at least he thought he
was.  So most of the time I just let
him think that.  It was easier!!

A little birdie told me

I got this set of crazy bird stamps
in the mail yesterday .  There's 4 more
in the set.  Guess how much I paid
for them?  Nothing!  I ordered them
from Amazon with gift cards that I
got from Bing Rewards (now microsoft
rewards).  It only takes a few minutes
a day and about once a month
I get a 5.00 gift card.  It doesn't sound
like much but it adds up quickly.

This card is for a lady in our sign
class who broke her wrist....

Last pic (obviously) is a top view.  I think I've
posted a double zed card before.  Or "Z" as we
Americans call it.

I started the interpreter prep class last night.
I was scared to death and about to run when
I heard what we were going to do.  Seriously.
I thought about "getting something from my
car" and leaving!  We had to write a card about
ourselves, why we wanted to learn sign, where
we thought we might go with it, things like
that.  Then we passed it to the person
on the left.  They familiarized themselves
with what was written, then the person who
wrote it read it and you had to interpret.
Naturally I got my teacher from last
semester who, of course, already interprets.
Now I'm really freaked out.  So she begins
to read and there were only two, maybe three
words I wasn't sure of so I tried to use a
different word that meant the same thing.
When I was done she looked at me and
said, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe how
well you did!  She even looked shocked.
I think she had her doubts about me in
the 3rd class, but much of my problem
is that I just can't understand what
someone else is signing very well.  I
hear that will come...eventually.  That really
boosted my confidence.  I'm just so shy
about signing in front of people and don't
have confidence that what I'm signing
is right or that it will be understood.  So I'm
glad I decided to take the class in the
first place and decided not to run at the
beginning!

Christmas bells

Isn't this just the prettiest design?
I was a little nervous because you have
to draw the dots of the musical notes
with a black pen.  If you mess it up, you
start all over again-unless you do the
notes first, I guess.  But they
turned out really well.  I am pretty happy
with it.

This card I made for a friend
as a kind of thank you card.  It doesn't
say that, but I wrote a note inside.
The musical note background is
actually from a Christmas pack I
just bought, but it didn't look
much like Christmas so it looked OK
for the card I had in mind.

Tonight is the first class for "interpreter
prep".  I have no desire to learn to
interpret right now.  Nor am I ready
by any means.  But any learning is
good learning so I will go in with an
open mind.  Pam said everyone will
be on different levels so there isn't
going to be pressure to be able
to interpret things like sermons, LOL.
Good thing as I would have run for
the hills!  Maybe someday I will be
good enough to interpret but I don't
see that coming any day soon.

Three styles

I made this first card in the colours
that the pattern called for.  As I looked
at it, I decided I didn't really like it
and thought, wouldn't it be pretty if
it were just in blues?  So I made one in
blues and liked it and then thought,
wouldn't it be pretty in the metallic
thread?  So I made a third one
that way and loved it too.  After all,
they aren't all going to the same person.

I'm going to have all my Christmas cards
done by the end of September the way I'm going!!

I enjoyed spending some time with
Cody yesterday.  We don't get to do
enough of that.  He's got a busy life.

It's crisp and chilly this morning.  I'm glad
I decided to put on a jacket before I went
out.  I know Winter is just around the corner.
The Summer went way too fast.

Another Christmas pointsettia

Someone sent me these last year and I liked them, but never knew what to do with them.  It fits nicely in the centers of the  stitc...
