Faerie surprised!

I found this adorable image of a faerie
and had to use it right away. As a matter
of fact, I have found quite a few images
that I want to use. Right now my arm
hurts too much to do a lot of stitching, but
I go to the doctor today to find out what
is the the next step. Like I don't know.

I brought my dad home yesterday  from the
hospital at about 130.  At 730 he called me
and said he needed to go back.  I told him to
call an ambulance.  They get there quicker
than me and have equipment that I don't
have.  He's still having trouble breathing-
mainly because his lungs are so full of
mucus.  I'm hoping they get him on a
better road before they release him this time.

1 Corinthians 2:9

But as it is written:
Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Lazy gnome

Yesterday's gnome was the only one who
even worked of the three. I guess you could
loosely call fishing “work” but this guy is
flat out sleeping. I guess there's always
got to be that one guy!

This is my favourite of the three.

My dad thinks he's going to go home today
but I don't think he's seen the doctor yet.
Apparently he was coughing so hard that
he developed a hernia but that will have
to be repaired at a later date.

Isaiah 40:28

 Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.

Busy bee gnome

This gnome is apparently the only worker bee
as you will see when I show the last one
tomorrow. I guess someone has to do the work.

My dad is still in the hospital.  I haven't
talked to him this morning so I don't know
if they have mentioned when he will get
out but I don't think it's today.  I'm going
to run over in a few minutes and take care
of his cat, Harry.  It's going to be a busy
day today.

Jeremiah 17:10

I, the Lord, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give every man according to his ways,
According to the fruit of his doings.

Here come the gnomes!

The gnomes are the second part of the
faeries set. They are a little cuter than
the faeries. A little. You can be the judge.

I used pencil for the eyes so it didn't
stand out as much.

Here's something really exciting to me because
it has never happened before.  A group I'm
in chose my artwork for the cover page.  I think
they change it once a week.  It's not a very good
picture, since I photographed it from my tablet
but you get the idea.

Pretty cool, eh?!

My dad is in hospital.  I guess he called
the ambulance at 2 am because he couldn't
breathe.  They are going to keep him  until
tomorrow and give him breathing treatments,
fluids, etc.  He's been sick ever since my mom
died and has COPD so that doesn't help.  It
makes grieving that  much harder.  Hopefully
they can get him back on his feet.

Hebrews 11:6 New

And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe
that he exists and that he rewards those
who earnestly seek him.

The last, finally

This is the last of the goofy looking faeries.
She isn't quite as obnoxious looking as
the others, but I regret buying the patterns
because the gnomes which make up the
other three of the set aren't much better.
Luckily they don't cost much at all.

I got about three hours sleep, woke up and
that was the end of that, so I finally got up.
I think it was the wind keeping me awake.  It
sounds like it's finally died down some, but
yesterday coming home from church, I got blown
over to the shoulder.  That was a little scary.  It
was hard holding the car straight.

Habakkuk 3:17-18

Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Faerie land faerie 2

This one doesn't look nearly as weird as
the first, but the head shape is still strange.
I think my friend, Karen, is right, though.
If I make them again I will just leave the
eyes off. They make it look even more strange.

I think I like red roses better, too.  The pattern
called for pink roses, but it doesn't seem to
show up as well.  Besides, who pays attention
to patterns?!

I finished another diamond painting.
Isn't she beautiful?! I was showing my
dad the other day and remarked how
it is hard to find a square frame. He
said as soon as he had the energy and
desire to get back in the woodshop he'd
make some frames for me. I think he needs
to just take care of himself right now. They
aren't going anywhere. I did order a bunch
more for Christmas presents, but they are
a more normal, frame-able size. Is that
a word? Frame-able? It is now!

Psalm 39:7

But now, Lord, what do I look for?
    My hope is in you.

Here come the faeries

I've been looking at this set of patterns for
forever, but somehow I never seemed to
decide to get them. Now I have. It's
three faeries and 3 gnomes. I haven't
really started on the gnomes yet, but the
faeries are cute except for one thing-the
faces. They look ridiculous. So all I can
do is apologise. I didn't design the patterns!

If I had noticed their faces looked so

weird I may have not gotten them. For
some reason my pinterest page has been
flooded with the most awesome pictures
of faeries which I have been saving. They
will look so cool with all the borders I have.

Ephesians 6:11
Put on the full armor of God,
so that you can take your stand
against the devil’s schemes.

I need to remember this.

Happy Thursday!

great design, not so great colour!

This card didn't come out like I hoped. I don't like the colour of the card stock. But it's still a great design. ...
