Canary yellow

I may have shown this card before,

but if I did it wasn't finished.  I was

cleaning off my desk and found it 

there.  Who knows how many other

treasures lie within the mess?!

I have a small "crevice" in my tooth

which is no big deal at all, according

to the dentist, but could collect

bacteria.  So I went to  make an 

appointment and one had cancelled

at 8 AM this morning.  As much as

I dislike getting out at this time of morning,

 at least I will get it done and over with.  I was

bummed to find out that her 

assistant, Robin, has "retired"  (technically

she's not old enough) she and her husband

want to do some traveling.  Robin signs

since her husband's parents were deaf and it

was fun to do a little signing with her.

But I wish her well.

Spring flowers

I don't know exactly what kind

of flowers these are, maybe tulips?

I'm not much for flowers.  I took 

this piece from a larger pattern

which wasn't easy because you have

to figure out what to ignore when

you're centering the card stock. 

But I like how it turned out.

We got a dusting of snow again last 

night.  I'll take it as opposed to what

those poor people in New England are

getting slammed with. 😢

I get to go to the dentist today and

have my teeth cleaned.  Yipee.  I hate

having my teeth cleaned.  They

press so hard I think they're

going to break them off.  My teeth

aren't the best.  And I'm quite certain

she's going to find a cavity because

I think I have one forming.  That

part is what it is, but the cleaning

part I could do without.  When I do

have my teeth worked on my dentist is 

always apologizing because she can't

use the topical anesthetic on me, LOL .

I'm really, really allergic to that and

pretty much anything else that ends

with  "caine", Novacaine, etc.  fun, fun.

When I was a kid there was no such 

thing as a topical and you just got

the shot and dealt with it.  Besides,

I've had the topical and it doesn't

work.  So stop apologizing and 

move on!  😁  She's really a 

great dentist. I love her.

Nice and simple

This card looked a lot better

in my head than in reality, but I 

still like it.

I got to church  half an hour

early yesterday.  I looked at

the clock and thought, "I'd

better hurry up or I'll be late!" 

Except that church doesn't start

until 1030.  Classes on Saturday

start at 10 AM.  I've done that

once before, too.  So I had to

cool my heels for 15 min. until the

first service ended.  Sometimes

my mind just doesn't work right.

Finger spelling class is tonight.  I

wish I could get faster.  Sigh.

Easter butterfly

What is an Easter butterfly?

I found this pattern somewhere,

I think on pinterest.  Anyway, I

thought it was really cute.

It's still pretty cold out, but no 

snow and the sun has been shining

so I have hopes that perhaps it

will get nicer.  The time changes

next weekend already!

I wish Indiana had stayed on Central

time.  Well, part of it did, but our part

didn't.  Maybe because of the close

proximity to Michigan and Ohio.

People in Michigan work in Indiana

and people in Indiana work in

Michigan.  True story.  Weird, 

but true.

I must practice my songs.

Another sympathy card

I hate having to make these.

Robin's boss, Chris, lost his

wife yesterday.  She fought brain

cancer for more than a year 

before going to be with her

Savior.  She left two sweet girls

behind, only 7 and 10.  Please

say a prayer for all of them.

Back to class this morning and more

"teaching training"   Some people 

were not meant to be teachers and

I am afraid I am one of those.  But

I will learn HOW to be a teacher.  😊

Then I will come home and burrow

into my blankets because it's still

pretty cold out.  Someday Summer

will be here.  I hope.

someone I love

I saw a card made with this stamp

set and fell in love with it.  My friend,

Karen, will notice that I changed

this card entirely, since it didn't

look right the first time.

I decided to go with a gatefold

this time and I am thrilled with

how it turned out!

The sentiment is on the belly

band that slides on and off.

Inside.  I think the sentiment is a riot!

And I wish it was true.  I wish we were

both 29 and both 110 lbs.  Alas, 

it is not.  😜

Our 4-6" of snow  turned into little

more than a dusting.  I'm not complaining,

mind you, but they sure made a big

deal about it, beeping and running

banners across the bottom of the TV

screen, etc.  I missed my calling.  I

could have been a weather forecaster

and made lots of money.   Or a signing

forecaster and made even more money! 

Consequently there was only 6 of us

at the coffee chat yesterday, but 

we had a great time.

Cross card set

This card is made by combining

two separate patterns.  The cross 

came with a flourish at the bottom

which I eliminated and the oval

came with flowers inside.  So I

worked with it until the cross was

in the center of the oval and voila!

I think it looks great!

Today we were supposed to get rain

and maybe a little snow mixed in at the

end of the day.  This morning I wake

up and see that the weather channel

is on my phone in RED which isn't

good.  Now they are giving us a winter 

weather advisory from  noon until 11 pm

for 4-6" of snow!  What the heck?!

I have no idea where this even came from!

But I can honestly say I'm not happy

about the situation! 👿
